Hi there, thanks for your interest in the Movers and Shakers Podcast:)

We’ve received a lot of pitches for potential guests on the show, so we put these criteria together to help streamline the process and help guide you on what guests may be a good fit for the podcast.

While we primarily curate our guest list by collecting media, reviewing industry publications and social channels, and vetting word of mouth recommendations, we are happy to receive cold pitches as well.

The criteria we’re looking for is the following:

  • Are you/your client doing something innovative?

  • We specifically interview beverage industry experts and veterans on this podcast. Are you/your client considered to be well-established/an expert within beverage alcohol (or adjacent sectors?)

  • Has your business or idea impacted your community, or generated other types of traction?

    • Effectively, is there documentation via press/accolades, social media, sales, etc that you or your idea has traction with an audience

  • Are you the founder/owner? 

    • For our style of interview, it’s important to share the good, the bad, and the ugly within the story, so we seek out guests who can speak to all aspects of the story with autonomy.

  • Is there material on you in the digital world so we can do our research? 

    • In addition to articles, we look for video and audio clips where possible.

  • Do you seem like you will be an interesting guest? 

  • Does the topic provide educational value for our listeners? 

    • We try to pull guests from within the close knit spirits and cocktail world, but also like to interview guests who are industry adjacent, whose knowledge may benefit our audience.

  • Do we think your interview will fit in AND create variety relative to our existing lineup?

This list is not exhaustive, and potential guests may meet only one or two of these criteria and be a great fit for the podcast, or may meet all of the criteria, and not be a fit for us right now.
